Weddings at Bow Bridge
Bow Bridge is an ornate cast iron bridge spanning the lake between the northwest corner of Cherry Hill and the southern edge of The Ramble. It is centrally located at about 74th Street, and is a heavily traveled pedestrian walkway and landmark attraction. It is named Bow Bridge because it resembles the bow of an archer.
The best time for a private wedding ceremony on Bow Bridge is early in the morning on a weekday. If your ceremony takes place during a more crowded time, guests will typically form a semicircle around the couple and the officiant, allowing pedestrians to pass through on the other half of the bridge.
If you are having your ceremony elsewhere in the park, Bow Bridge serves as an ideal backdrop for a portrait from along the lake shore by western Cherry Hill. A portrait on the bridge is nice as well, ideally with The Lake, San Remo, and The Dakota in the background.
